About me
For me, art is an expression of intuition, observation and change.
My name is Florian Wild. Painting has been with me all my life – sometimes quietly in the background, sometimes with full intensity. Already in my youth and during my studies, it was a creative outlet for me and a means of processing thoughts, moods and experiences artistically.
I also developed a growing interest in art history. I am particularly fascinated by the period of artistic upheaval – Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Dadaism – eras in which art freed itself from conventions. The idea that everything can be the subject of art characterises my own work.
Professionally, I worked as a lawyer in environmental law for around 35 years. Although not forensically, I continue to deal with environmental law issues, because the protection of our natural resources is very important to me.
Since my retirement in September 2023, I have been devoting myself with renewed dedication to painting – especially with acrylic paints. These allow me to express my intuitive perception of colours, shapes and figures spontaneously and powerfully. For me, every brushstroke is an experiment, an expression of inner processes and a play with contrasts and harmony.
My paintings should touch, inspire or simply invite you to linger. For me, art is a living process – open, honest and always changing.
